Development required to achieve HIPAA compliance is well underway.  EnCore System Professionals, Inc. and AXIOM Systems are co-developing a robust and innovative solution that will enable Healthcare Enterprises to achieve full compliance.  Our product, HIPAA MAXIM first released in May, 2001 provides the means to handle all of the HIPAA mandated transactions.  When the final rules are released and prior to required effective dates as outlined in the regulations EnCore System Professionals, Inc. products will provide users with HIPAA compliant functionality.  The final HIPAA [Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996] regulations - many due this year will establish national provider - and possibly patient - identification numbers, as well as rules for the security and privacy of patient information used by healthcare organizations.
